01What is e-business?
E-business is much more than a fiscalised e-invoice. It’s a way of working where every document that does actual work between two companies — purchase order, confirmation, despatch advice, goods receipt, invoice, payment, price catalogue — travels structured, validated and automatically posted, with no manual rekeying.
Fiscalisation 2.0 (1 January 2026) is just the trigger forcing Croatian businesses onto e-invoice. The real opportunity is deeper: once you’re plugged into the e-invoice infrastructure, adding the other documents (purchase order, despatch, goods receipt, ASN) is the organic next step — and that’s exactly where companies save the most time.
REDOK is designed as a platform that grows with you. You start with a single module (typically e-invoice for fiscalisation) and over 12-18 months organically move the rest of the process onto the same infrastructure.
02The REDOK ecosystem
Six interconnected modules, one contract, one helpdesk. You can use only what you need — but when you combine them, you get end-to-end automation.
EDI exchange
The backbone of the REDOK network. EDIFACT, X12, UBL — we route and transform documents between customer ERPs and their partners.
E-Invoice
Fiscalised, EN 16931 compliant, Peppol BIS 3.0 ready. Direct link to the Tax Authority, JIR/ZKI automatic.
e-Archive
11-year statutory retention, integrity sealed through a SHA-256 hash chain. Sub-second search.
Web EDI portal
Browser-based access for small suppliers without their own ERP. Receive orders, send confirmations, issue invoices.
ASN despatch
DESADV messages bound to the physical delivery — SSCC codes, barcodes, automatic scanning at goods-in.
Peppol Access Point
Certified entry to the European Peppol network. 1M+ endpoints in EU/EEA. DBNAlliance ready for cross-border.
03Industries we serve
REDOK has worked with nearly every Croatian industry. We are particularly strong in the following segments:
- Retail (largest segment) — large retail chains and their suppliers. ORDERS → DESADV → INVOIC as the standard route, with GLN and SSCC codes.
- Distribution — multichannel distribution to retail and HoReCa. High volumes, short processing windows.
- Manufacturing — automotive, food, textile. Tight ERP integration (SAP, Dynamics, Pantheon).
- FMCG — fast-moving consumer goods (food, drink, cosmetics). EDI exchange mandatory with all large retailers.
- Pharma — strict regulatory framework, traceability, serialisation. REDOK supports DESADV with batch and expiry data.
- Automotive — ODETTE/VDA standards, JIT/JIS deliveries, tight sync with the OEM production line.
04A document’s journey through REDOK
The best way to understand the value of REDOK is to follow one document through the network:
- Generation in the ERP — your ERP (e.g. SAP) emits an ORDERS message for the supplier. Typically triggered by a buyer clicking "Send order".
- REDOK picks up and validates — our connector pulls the document from your ERP (via SFTP, API or AS2). We validate structure, GLNs, catalogue numbers.
- Transformation — if the supplier receives EDIFACT and you send UBL, REDOK translates on the fly. Mappings are centrally maintained.
- Routing — the document goes to the right destination: direct VAN, Peppol, AS4, AS2 — depending on the supplier’s setup.
- Receipt confirmation — REDOK tracks the functional acknowledgment (CONTRL or ApplicationResponse) and alerts you if something is late.
- Archive — a copy of the document and all transport metadata is stored in the e-archive, retained for 11 years, searchable.
For you this looks like one click. Behind the scenes there are 5-7 systems in sync. That’s the value.

06Why REDOK
The Croatian market has several local and several foreign providers. REDOK stands out on four key axes:
- 37 years of experience — we aren’t a startup that jumped on the fiscalisation wave. The Megatrend group launched in 1989, with Megatrend Redok as the B2B/EDI specialisation inside the group — that has been our core business from the beginning.
- EEDIN founder — we influence European standards, we don’t just follow them. Our engineers sit on the working groups.
- ISO 27001 certified — Bureau Veritas validates our ISMS with an annual audit. Not marketing — a legal requirement for working with data.
- Local helpdesk — Zagreb-based, Croatian speaking, fluent in the Croatian regulatory framework. You don’t call a call centre in India.
